This week we revealed July's cover story, rolled out more Gears of War 3 coverage, and took a look at some of the lamest video game characters of all time. It's time for the Week In Review!

July Cover Reveal:
When we revealed this month's cover story, Infamous 2, our readers got really excited – so excited that the onslaught of viewer traffic temporarily broke the site. The story is back up now though, so check it out to see what other cool features you can expect from this month's magazine.
Developer Commentary: Gears of War 3:
We've been giving you a lot of information about Gears of War 3 – but why listen to us when you can hear it straight from the people making it? In this three-part audio commentary, Rod Fergusson and Cliff Bleszinski discuss all the aspects that make Gears of War 3 cool (hint: it has a lot to do with blowing up aliens).
How To Save (Or Kill) Your Party In Mass Effect 2:
Joe Juba takes Mass Effect seriously: He beat the first game countless times, and when he saw that your actions in the sequel affect who in your party lives and dies, he didn't rest until he mapped out every possible conclusion. His fanaticism is your gain, however. With this feature, you can make sure everyone you care about lives to see the third installment – and you can also send everyone you don't care about to an early grave.
Characters Who Don't Deserve Their Own Games:
Dan Ryckert absolutely loves Waluigi, so he might not be the best person to put together a list of characters who do or don't deserve their own games – but his latest feature is hilarious regardless. This list is packed with video game duds, especially the last character, who no one has ever even heard of.
Characters You'll Never See Again:
Turns out Dan wasn't done for the week. Not content with making just one list of unlikable losers, Dan set out to spotlight characters that couldn't cut the mustard in the video game world. Especially that last character, who no one has – ahh, you get the joke by now.

This week I tried out Lego Harry Potter and lived to tell about it. What can fans of the series expect? Magic spells, potions, and a whole lot of Lego stud collecting. I don't remember that last part playing a big role in the movies, but maybe the books are different.
