Steam Launches For Mac This Wednesday
This Wednesday, Mac owners will finally have access to the Steam service. Those who have already purchased games on the PC version of the service will find that they will also be available on Mac as long as they support Steam Play.
Torchlight will be amongst the first batch of games available for the service, and more games will be released on future Wednesdays.Max Schaefer, co-founder of Runic Games says "We're very excited to be bringing Torchlight to the Mac. Having Steam for the Mac solves so many problems for us as a developer. We look forward to our future games coming out on the Mac as well."
Valve is also bringing the Steamworks publishing and development tools to Macs. Services like product key authentication, copy protection, auto-updating, social networking, matchmaking, anti-cheat tech and more will be included with this package.
