Clash of The Titans Game Gets Release Date

by Ben Reeves on Apr 30, 2010 at 09:29 AM

“Wait a minute,” you say. “Didn’t the Clash of the Titans movie come out, like, a month ago?” Indeed it did. “And wasn’t it kinda crappy?” Yeah, that’s also true, but that won't stop Namco Bandai from releasing a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game on July 27. Sure they’ve missed the window of hype surrounding the movie, but maybe that means Namco is just that confident in this product.

Of course, you might also be saying, “I didn’t know they were making a Clash of the Titan’s movie.” That’s fair, since it hasn’t seen a whole lot of press. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t throw caution to the wind and pre-order the title anyway. GameStop has announced that those who pre-order the game through one of its stores will gain access to two downloadable packs containing bonus sub weapons and missions.

The first download is a quest called Bird in Hand, which includes a boss battle with a giant-winged Cockatrice at the Mount of Idols. Those who defeat the Cockatrice will gain the Wing of Icarus, a sub weapon that unleashes unforgiving tornado attacks. The second download, called Songs of Enchantment, will require players to battle through an army of skeletons and confront the mysterious Succubus and beautiful Siren before being awarded the Orpheus, another weapon that summons powerful thunder attacks.

Anyone planning on checking this game out?
