Ex-Grin Staffers Form New Studio

by Joe Juba on Apr 19, 2010 at 10:20 AM

Swedish developer Grin closed down last year after the poor showing of titles like Bionic Commando, Terminator Salvation, and Wanted: Weapons of Fate. Now, some former staff members have banded together to form Might & Delight, a new studio with a focus on remaking classic titles.

Perhaps in an effort to distance itself from Grin's lackluster catalog, the team at Might & Delight only claims responsibility for one of the developer's releases: Bionic Commando Rearmed. "Some argue that there is one of Grin's many later releases that stands out: Bionic Commando Rearmed," reads a statement from a company press release. "That's no accident. That was us."

Using its expertise in adding modern twists to classic gameplay, Might & Delight will focus on projects similar to Rearmed – remakes featuring an old-school aesthetic. Of course, any remakes would need to be made in collaboration with the current owners of the properties.

No projects are currently underway at the studio, but you can check out the company's website to learn more about its mission.
