See Plans

This weekend, it's all about the rock and/or roll. Well, that and gaming. Some of the GI crew are spending time performing or recording, while most of us will have to settle on shooting bad guys. See what we're up to and then hit up the comments section with your plans.

Helgeson: This weekend I’m going down to Gustavus Adolphus College to open for Lupe Fiasco and B.O.B. (playing bass with Unknown Prophets)...I’ll also walk the dog probably.

Reiner: Progress in Just Cause 2 is moving along nicely. I’m now up to eight percent complete. Only 92 to go! I’ll also be playing Splinter Cell: Conviction co-op again this weekend with a friend at Rockstar Games. Our goal: Complete the co-op experience without getting spotted by one guard. Outside of gaming, I will stuff my gut with Buffalo Wild Wings, and will finish guitar tracking for my band’s new album.

Dan: Seeing Kick-Ass tonight with some GI folk, despite knowing next-to-nothing about it. I’ve heard good things, though. Tomorrow I plan on getting my bike fixed up and riding around the city a bit. The Royals are in town this weekend to take on the Twins, and I think I’ll be in attendance Sunday to root on my hometown team. When I’m not busy with other things, I’ll be working through the supremely weird Deadly Premonition, along with furthering my Bad Company 2 career.

Jeff: I'm still plugging away at the Saboteur. Just Cause 2 is on the back burner now, even though all the bullet points on the box make it seem as though it should be taking permanent residency in my 360. After that, I may blow through Rogue Warrior for a few laughs. I really should wrap up that Fallout 3 DLC first though...

Annette: Pain meds from shoulder-repair surgery = me sleeping all weekend. Ow. Also trying to get the hang of using one hand to game, type, text, practice good hygiene, etc. in order to get through this first week!

Jeff M: Despite all the AAA games I still have to play (Assassin’s Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, Resident Evil 5, etc.) I still find myself returning to Red Faction: Guerrilla every weekend to mindlessly blow things up. Why doesn’t every game feature this kind of destruction?! If I get tired of destroying things, I might return to LittleBigPlanet and try my hand at creating some stuff, too.

That's it for us. What are you playing this weekend?
