Two Call Of Duty Leads Leave Infinity Ward

by Jeff Cork on Apr 06, 2010 at 04:34 AM

Just over a month since Activision fired former Infinity Ward studio heads Vince Zampella and Jason West over alleged insubordination and breach of contract, two other high-level staffers have left the Modern Warfare developer. Kotaku learned that lead designer Todd Alderman and lead software engineer Francesco Giglotti left Infinity Ward via their LinkedIn profiles, though the specifics behind their departures are unknown at this time. The pair worked at the studio for 8 and 7 years, respectively. Alderman’s professional focus was on the game’s exceptionally popular multiplayer, and his departure is sure to leave an impact.

It remains to be seen what any of the former Infinity Ward employees will do. West and Zampella are currently suing Activision over unpaid royalties for the game, and they’ve recently signed with Creative Artists Agency for representation for future projects. As for Alderman and Giglotti, we’ll have to wait and see. They’re both obviously talented individuals, and we wish them both the best.
