The Old Republic Announces Latest Class: The Sarlacc Enforcer

by Matt Miller on Apr 01, 2010 at 07:45 AM

In a surprise move, Bioware and LucasArts have unveiled their latest class for their upcoming Star Wars MMO, which is sure to be a favorite to players who want a gameplay experience about slowly digesting their enemies over a thousand years.

The Sarlacc Enforcer combines the best elements of remaining completely still for long periods of time and waiting patiently for passing enemies, creating a thrilling gameplay experience for players tired of having to do things in an MMO.

"Whether meditating from a reinforced base in the desert of Tatooine, intimidating the pirates in the alleys of Ord Mantell, or doing some mercenary clean up on the lower levels of Coruscant, a Sarlacc has a trick up each of its countless sleeves," explains the new class description on The Old Republic's official website. "Taking a no-frills approach to hand to hand to hand to hand combat, the Sarlacci have a well-earned place among the galaxy’s most feared warriors."

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for additional info on the upcoming Star Wars MMO. We've heard rumors of a playable Rancor class to be revealed soon that could really shake up the existing framework.
