Milla's Still Kicking Undead Butt In Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D's First Images

by Andrew Reiner on Apr 01, 2010 at 07:16 AM

I'm a big fan of the Resident Evil films...for all the wrong reasons. The first movie was decent, but the sequels that followed – bringing us characters like K-Mart – brought nothing but tears of laughter coupled with remorse for everyone at Capcom who worked on the Resident Evil games. Regardless of what I think of the films, people flock to theaters to see them. In worldwide box office revenue, the first film brought in $102 million, the sequel, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, raked in $129 million, and the follow-up, Resident Evil: Extinction, made $147 million. Director, writer, producer Paul W.S. Anderson has apparently found a formula that works – I just wish it followed the games' stories.

The fourth installment, Resident Evil: Afterlife, will hit theaters September 10, and once again stars Milla Jovovich as Alice. While K-Mart makes a return, fans of the games can look forward to seeing Claire and Chris Redfield in action. With the images that surfaced today, we can also confirm that Wesker will be throwing his sunglasses at the camera.
