Don't Hold Your Breath For Geometry Wars 3
Both Geometry Wars titles turned out to be huge hits, with Retro Evolved being the first bonafide success story on the Xbox Live Arcade. Despite its popularity, it sounds like you won't be seeing a new installment anytime soon. In a recent podcast, Gareth Wilson of Bizarre Creations had this to say:
"Right now we don't have any plans for Geometry Wars 3 or anything." He continues, "That doesn't mean that at some point Stephen (Cakebread, series designer) won't have a genius moment and will start working on it, but right now Stephen is working on all sorts of other projects."
From the sounds of it, the only seizure-inducing shooter action you'll be getting will be coming from the original two titles. Anyone disappointed by this news, or did the first two pack enough gameplay punch to keep you satisfied?
