King of Fighters XIII Stays Classy With Naughty Ninja Mai
The jubbliest of ninjas is front and center on a Japanese teaser site for the upcoming The King of Fighters XIII. A huge splashy art piece of fan favorite Mai Shiranui in all of her male wish-fulfillment glory takes almost half of the page's real estate. The lady ninja was omitted from the last King of Fighters release to much fan outcry, but she's obviously back in for the next.
All of the, ahem, assets in the world can't make up for the rut that the series has been in for years. Still, sometimes fan service is all a franchise needs to stay relevant – and SNK Playmore is certainly delivering that.
KOF XIII doesn't have a console release date yet, but the teaser site does mention that the arcade version of the game will be featured at the Japanese Tougeki tournament this September.
