New Mass Effect 2 DLC Details Announced

by Jeff Marchiafava on Mar 22, 2010 at 11:30 AM

Mass Effect 2 already offers players a giant universe to explore, but that universe is about to get bigger with three new DLC packs dropping in the next couple weeks.

First up is the Firewalker pack, which we already knew about, but which has now been confirmed for a March 23rd release date – also known as tomorrow. The DLC pack will feature the Hammerhead assault hovercraft pictured above, and will have five all-new missions. It will be free for players with access to the Cerberus Network.

Also debuting tomorrow is the Alternate Appearance pack, which adds new outfits for Thane, Jack, and Garrus. It will cost 160 Microsoft Points ($2). Here’s a screenshot of the new outfits via BioWare’s Twitter account:

The third DLC pack is Kasumi’s Stolen Memory, which we also reported on earlier, but we now know the price: 560 Microsoft Points ($7). The DLC will add the titular character, a female thief, as well as a Locust SMG and a flash-bang grenade loyalty power.

It goes without saying that Mass Effect 2 fans will be trying out the Firewalker DLC – but paid content is a different matter. Who's ready to drop some cash to continue the Mass Effect 2 adventure?
