Skate 3 Street Date Rolls Out

by Matthew Kato on Mar 17, 2010 at 06:20 AM

The Skate series gets more air with each subsequent release, and Skate 3 is no exception, taking the franchise to elevated heights with the new city Port Carverton, among other features. The game drops into retail on May 11.

Apart from the new city, Skate 3 features a blown out create-a-park feature, seamless single- and multiplayer team/co-op play, a couple new tricks, and added tutorial support for first-time players. The latter may be important for those who've put off playing the first two games. Don't be a poseur – get your feet on a deck and start busting tricks. Skate 3 will come out on May 11 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Unfortunately it looks like the Wii-only Skate It franchise is in hibernation for the foreseeable future.

For all of you who haven't played a Skate title before, but have wanted to, what's the reason? Check out our Skate 3 media and coverage in the game links below and maybe it'll convince you to get onboard!
