Disney's upcoming Prince of Persia: Sands of Time movie has caught the eye of esteemed toy man Todd McFarlane. Come this May, McFarlane Toys will release a variety of figures based on this highly anticipated film.

While many people turn to McFarlane Toys for their statue-esque detailing, it looks like the four-inch line is created for people who play with their toys. These figures offer a high level of articulation, and plenty of weapons to wield. Two version of the Prince are included (in warrior and desert attire), as is Zolm (the lead hassansin), and Setam (described by McFarlane Toys as the "human porcupine hassansin"). All four of these figures carry a SRP of $7.99.

The second line, standing in at six-inchs in height, are the McFarlane figures you would expect. The detail of the sculpt outweighs the playability. This line also offers two different versions of the Prince – one in his "I do P90X", and the other in his "if I don't move, my hair will continue to look beautiful" poses. This line also consists of sculpts for Zolm, and Ghazab. Each figure will retail for $9.99.

And surely to be a love interest plot twist, the Prince's horse is immortalized in plastic before Princess Temina. The horse's name is Aksh (pronounced ahhhh-yeah-ksh). This set comes with another sculpt of the Prince (naturally), and will only set you back $14.99.

McFarlane is also releasing Alamut Gate, a playset with a spring-loaded rock launcher, hidden compartments, and as you would guess, a working gate. This set is designed for the four-inch line, and will retail for $19.99.

McFarlane's launch efforts conclude with a replica dagger featuring disappearing sand, and an LED light. Before you think about stabbing loved ones, I should note that the blade is made of soft vinyl.
