If you're at all like me or several other editors in the Game Informer office, you're probably just wrapping up BioShock 2's single-player story and taking your first steps into the game's online multiplayer. 2K Games wants to make sure you don't run out of content any time soon, though, as they've announced the first batch of downloadable content for the game.

In March, 2K will release the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack for 400 Microsoft Points ($5) on Xbox Live or $4.99 on PlayStation Network. The pack will include a rank cap increase to level 50 (with all the new abilities and trials that come with that), more characters and weapon upgrades, and a handful of further customization options.

Not so interested in multiplayer? No worries! In addition to further multiplayer DLC, 2K plans to release downloadable single-player content that "provide[s] new insight into the world of Rapture." As long as I don't have to do any more Little Sister protection sequences, I'm in.

The original BioShock didn't offer much of anything in terms of expanding the game, but it looks like 2K is set on being a lot more aggressive with DLC for the sequel. Do you think this is a smart step for the franchise? And will you be downloading any of it?
