Heavy Rain Developer's Motion Control Project
In an interview with a Norwegian publication, Heavy Rain mastermind David Cage says that developer Quantic Dream will soon announce its new project for Sony's motion controller.
"I have a lot of interest in Sony's motion device and there is a good chance that we announce something about it in the coming weeks," said Cage.
Cage also talked about how close upcoming PS3 title Heavy Rain came to being a motion controller title itself. "The very first version of the game design was based on motion control, but it was not feasible at the time," said Cage of the title (see our review here). Given that the game was in development as far back as early 2006, it's interesting to hear that Sony was already talking to developers about the device at the time.
While we're excited to hear that Quantic Dream has something in the works for the motion controller, given that the developer just finished Heavy Rain we don't have high hopes for this as-yet-unannounced project to be a launch title for the peripheral, which is expected to hit store shelves this fall.
