As is typically the case with early trailers, the Future Warrior teaser is fully CG, with no gameplay footage. But that didn't stop us from gleaning some intel on the game. The video hints at a global skirmish set in the year 2020, with locations like Moscow, Baghdad, Helsinki, Norway, Berlin, and the Afghanistan/Pakistan border being called out as possible locations. A few names were dropped as well, including Vladimir Smirnov, Malik Junaid Ahmad, and Abdul Malik Batool. As of now we have no way of knowing if they are terrorist targets, insurgents, undercover agents, or, in the case of Smirnov, the playboy heir to a vodka empire.

The video also includes reports of a Taliban attack that kills five in Afghanistan, and seems to show an attack on the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier. It ends with a group of badass snipers emerging from a state-of-the art cloaking device that would make the Predator proud.

More information about Ghost Recon: Future Soldier should be forthcoming soon, as an online beta will come out this summer. If you want to secure your spot in the beta, your best bet is picking up a copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction when it releases on April 14, as keys to the beta will be included in the box.
