Remember that big tease Capcom threw onto their Japanese Xbox 360 site last week? Now there’s a big Monster Hunter Frontier page in its place. Capcom’s Monster Hunter games are insanely popular in Japan, and now it turns out that Monster Hunter Frontier is heading to Japan’s Xbox Live Marketplace.

In summer of 2010 fledgling hunters can expect to suit up with over 4,000 weapons, more than 500 armor sets, and capture a slew of impressive monsters. Originally released in Japan for the PC, the 360 version of Monster Hunter Frontier will also feature online multiplayer that allows for cooperative hunting. Friends aren’t true friends unless they wrangle dangerous beasts with each other.

If you find yourself in Japan this summer with an itch for some multiplayer Monster Hunter, be sure to check out Frontier.

When asked for comment on whether the game has a chance of making it to the U.S., Capcom replied "As yet the title has not been confirmed for release in Europe or North America."
