MLB 10: The Show Pre-Orders Feature Classic Stadium Downloads

by Adam Biessener on Jan 26, 2010 at 10:40 AM

Gamers who pre-order Sony's upcoming MLB 10: The Show gain access to six classic parks for use in the PS3 game, says Sony's official PlayStation Blog. The PS2 and PSP versions of the game get no love, unfortunately.

The fields, including New York's famous Polo Grounds, are recreated with the same attention to detail that Sony's Santa Monica studio has put into all the venues in the game. See the media gallery below for looks at all six parks.

Adding these stadiums to your game should settle the question of whether cover athlete Joe Mauer's dominance of all facets of hardball extends through time and space, as if that was in any doubt.

The following fields are part of the bonus:

  • Shibe Park, Philadelphia, built 1909
  • Forbes Field, Pittsburgh, built 1909
  • Polo Grounds, New York, built 1890
  • Crosley Field, Cincinnati, built 1912
  • Sportsman's Park, St. Louis, built 1902
  • Griffith Stadium, Washington, D.C, built 1911

The deal is available through Amazon, Best Buy, Game Crazy, and GameStop.
