by Meagan Marie on Jan 18, 2010 at 04:19 AM

A somber way to kick off the week, news broke yesterday that veteran voice actor Daisuke Gouri died not long after he was found bleeding and wandering through the streets of Nakano, Tokyo. Gauri is perhaps best known for his sizable contributions to anime, but has also worked on a slew of venerable gaming franchises including Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Ninja Gaiden, King of Fighters, Metal Gear, Street Fighter, Ace Combat and more. Gauri’s flagship reoccurring roles included Heihachi Mishima of Tekken fame and Bass Armstrong of Dead or Alive.

According to reports (translated by Kotaku) a sharp object and last will and testament were found nearby, leading authorities to believe his death may have been suicide. Gouri was 57.
