Update: Mass Effect 2 DLC Info Leaked
Update: We just got word from EA about this story. It looks like even though the company has big DLC plans that there will not be Mass Effect 2 DLC on launch day. We still don't know what kinds of content will be made available, but EA has said that they will have more news early new week.
Original Story: Sometimes surprising news comes from the most unlikely places. According to Joystiq, a Norwegian newspaper just broke the news on Mass Effect 2’s DLC. Reportedly, new downloadable content will be available for players on day one. Aside from the obvious items like new weapons and armor, players can expect to explore an entirely new planet, and recruit a new ally, a grizzled bounty hunter by the name of Zaeed Messani. All of this content will be available via Mass Effect 2’s online store entitled Cerberus Network.
We can’t yet confirm how much of this info is true and how much is just rumor, but the Norwegian article has since been taken down. We’ll keep you posted.
