Dragon Age's Return Trip To Ostagar Postponed

by Jeff Cork on Jan 05, 2010 at 03:37 AM

If you dragged your carcass out of bed this morning to download Dragon Age: Origins' Return to Ostagar DLC, you can go back to sleep. According to an official post on BioWare's forums, the content is being delayed on all platforms indefinitely.

"We’re sorry but the planned Return to Ostagar downloadable content scheduled to launch on January 5th has been delayed for all platforms," wrote BioWare's Chris Priestly. "We will update you as new information becomes available."

There's no word on why the content has been delayed, but it's apparently not the first time. Return to Ostagar was originally slated for a Holiday 2009 release before getting the seemingly more concrete January date.

The DLC fills in some of what happened during the game's initial battle against the blight. Players can meet up with a fellow survivor of the battle who's seeking assistance from the Grey Wardens and also score a new set of armor. When it is made available, it will cost $4.99/400 Microsoft Points/400 BioWare Points.
