Trials HD BIG Pack Includes Low Gravity, Terrifying Old-School Landscape

by Jeff Cork on Dec 18, 2009 at 03:32 AM

It seems like only three days ago we were writing about the Trials HD BIG Pack. Oh, how the time flies. There's a new trailer for the upcoming DLC available, and this one actually shows gameplay in comprehensible snippets. As you watch it, feel free to blink this time around. The DLC, which will set you back 400 Microsoft Points, will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace on December 23, or Christmas Eve Eve.

The BIG Pack adds a total of 50 Achievements for surfing on a car in the Dangerous Ride, landing in the lucky box (?!?), and bouncing onto five trampolines in the Skyway level. There are also 35 new tracks with the majority of them falling into the medium and hard difficulty levels. Just think: You might be able to actually finish these! There are also a dozen new skill game tracks, 23 racing tracks and five new tournaments.

Here are some of the new gameplay gimmicks shown in the trailer:

Donkey Business — Players get flung and kicked along by large platforms.

1 Bit Trip — The game gets a flattened, old-school LCD makeover

Flugtag — Ostensibly a tribute to Red Bull's annual event, players ride a makeshift rocket car

Space Station — The low-gravity environment lets you see your inevitable failure coming from a mile away

In addition to the DLC, the game will have a title update that fixes a number of bugs and glitches.

And did we mention that wind has been introduced into the game? Wonderful.
