EA: Tiger Safe
Despite his extra-curricular activities, publisher and developer Electronic Arts says that Tiger Woods and his game are not going anyware.
In a statement responding to Tiger's own admitting of infidelity, EA said, "Our strong relationship with Tiger for more than a decade remains unchanged. We respect Tiger's privacy, we wish him a fast recovery, and we look forward to seeing him back on the golf course.”
"Fast recovery"? What? Did he get in a car accident or something?
We all have opinions about what Tiger did, but I personally didn't think for a second that EA would stop its lucrative relationship with the golfer. Removing Dany Heatley from the NHL cover after his involvement with the death of a teammate is one thing, but severing ties with Tiger (who doesn't just appear on the cover, but whom after EA has named its franchise) for adultery is another. What do you think? Will it make you think twice about buying Tiger Woods 2011?
