Red Dead Redemption Releasing April 27, 2010

Hope you've already finished taking in Rockstar's latest trailer for Red Dead Redemption, because another mustache-laden bombshell just dropped. James Marston's blood-soaked revenge tale is set to kick off at the end of April 2010.

Red Dead Redemption will release in the U.S. on April 27, with an international release following on April 30. We know this is a long wait, but you Clint Eastwood wannabes should have no trouble passing the time by draping your mother's favorite blanket over your shoulders like Blondie's poncho and pretending to smoke a cigar-sized Slim Jim.

“This is our vision of the American West: beautiful, bloody and action-packed. The game is a true epic, and has been developed with the same production values and attention to detail we put into all our projects,” said Rockstar's founder, Sam Houser. “Red Dead Redemption represents another milestone for us in the development of open world games."

From the looks of it, Redemption will be a veritable dream come true for Western fans looking for a game with a violent edge that only Rockstar could deliver. Who's excited?
