PSP Firmware 6.20 Brings Digital Comics, Video Playlists

by Tim Turi on Nov 19, 2009 at 05:45 AM

If you’re sick of papercuts and inky thumbs, you may want to go ahead and download your PSP’s latest update. According to PlayStation Blog, this next iteration of the PSP's capabilities brings with it the Digital Comics Reader and the exportation of video/photo playlists.

You’ll find the Digital Comics Reader under the new “Extras” section on the XMB. After going through the process of downloading the reader, you’re going to have to go ahead and install it. After that’s all said and done, you’ll have to wait until the PlayStation Digital Comics store goes live. According to the website, you’re “expected” to be able to purchase comics in December 2009.

Video and photo playlists that you’ve created on Media Go, Sony’s PC media manager, can now be exported to your PSP. If you’re the owner of a PSP Go, you’re likely already familiar with Media Go, so the update should streamline your file organization.

Anybody excited to save a trip to the comic shop and the anxiety that comes with keeping your collection mint? Or would you miss the sweet smell of fresh issues?
