Weekend Warrior 11/13/09

by Annette Gonzalez on Nov 13, 2009 at 12:35 PM

The weekend is here which means another installment of Weekend Warrior. Read on to find out what the Game Informer staff is playing this weekend, then head on over to the comments section and let us know what's on your gaming to-do list.

Andy Mc: Took another chunk out of Assassin's Creed 2 last night, and I plan to play the crap out of it all weekend, with a little Modern Warfare 2 and DJ Hero every once in a while to break up the action. Watching the Vikings on Sunday is, of course, required viewing.

Reiner: My obsession with Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer will consume most of the weekend. With Them Crooked Vultures' debut album playing in the background, I'm hoping I can get my kill-to-death ratio in the positive again. I'm currently at .88 -- something I'm not happy about at all. My first 10 to 15 matches were brutal. I did throw up a 30 kill/4 death match last night, but most of my gains from that match were lost when I said "just one more match" -- for two and a half hours. Other than this, I plan on seeing 2012 and will have to dedicate some of my weekend to song creation with my band Tripping Icarus.

Jeff Cork: On Sunday, Tim and Bryan are coming over to play through Jurassic: The Hunted and a little Turok. No dinosaur will be spared from our guns and punches. I still need to finish Modern Warfare 2's campaign and then I'll probably take it online and get laughed at for not knowing any of the maps. Then I'll squeeze in some Lego Rock Band (almost done with the tour...) and some Dragon Age: Origins. I think I'm going to make a new character, since my rogue playthrough has devolved into me being a completely terrible melee tank. Maybe I'll try to be some kind of wizard.

Meagan: While there are a ton of games I would love to play this weekend, I've opted to go up north to my parents' cabin for some R&R. My parents have a Wii, so perhaps it's time to crack open Muramasa: The Demon Blade, maybe polish off No More Heroes or catch up on my handheld titles. Either way, I am looking forward to a lazy weekend with no real agenda to be had. And good food.

Tim: My weekend is going to consist of near-constant gaming interrupted only by a metal show I'll be attending. I plan to finish up Modern Warfare 2's single-player, plow through spec-ops with a friend and consume my fill of multiplayer. Hopefully that will leave time for more Assassin's Creed and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. So many great games, so few weekends!

Annette: I’m working on my Gamerscore this weekend. A friend told me his unborn cousin has a higher Gamerscore than I do so pressure's on. I’ll be spending some time with Modern Warfare 2 single-player and as soon as I knock that out I’ll throw in Episodes from Liberty City for good measure.

Jeff Akervik: I'll be looking to finally sink some serious time into Borderlands and figure out how to use Lilith's Phasewalk ability correctly. WTH? Other than that, I'd love to find some time for a little NHL 10 and Tekken 6, but other plans will most likely squash any good intentions I may have. And I pray my Gopher hockey squad holds their own and then some against Bemidji St. this weekend. Yeesh.

Your turn. Sound off. What's on your games list this weekend?
