rumor

Details on Microsoft’s Project Natal including a release date, price and launch titles have surfaced on the internet. Now it’s just a matter of whether or not these details are true. According to game site MCV, the device will be released worldwide November 2010. These details emerged during a private Microsoft tour of UK publishers and studios.

Sounds like Microsoft is planning to have five million units for launch in bundle form with the console and individually. According to the site, a publishing source says the device alone should cost anywhere from £30 to £50 ($50 to $80).

Other details have emerged that 14 games will be available at launch with Activision, Bethesda, Capcom, Disney, EA, Konami, Namco Bandai, Sega, Square Enix, THQ and Ubisoft on board for future development. There’s a good chance that most launch titles will be first-party.

We have contacted Microsoft for confirmation and will provide details once we receive a response.

A Microsoft Representative had the following to say about Project Natal's launch details, as expected:

"We don't comment on rumors and speculation." Hopefully we'll hear an official announcement soon enough.
