Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising DLC, Patch Drop Tomorrow
The first downloadable content for tactical military simulator Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will be available tomorrow, November 5, for PC. Publisher Codemasters expects the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions to go live shortly. Also launching tomorrow is a PC & 360 patch to address network performance and single-player bugs among other things. The PS3 will receive its own version of the patch later.
This "Skirmish" DLC adds two missions for solo or co-op play as well as four multiplayer maps. The cooperative levels include a defense mission where players command air support to repel a determined Chinese invasion, and an assault on a fortified bunker. The multiplayer maps include a variety of settings that take advantage of Operation Flashpoint's scale and combined-arms combat.
The patches are of course free, while the Skirmish pack will cost Xbox 360 and PS3 owners 400 points or $3.99 depending on whether their console uses real or fake money. PC players get Skirmish for free as well.
Until your platform of choice gets the DLC, feast your eyes on the screens and video of the Skirmish pack below in the media gallery.
