Rock Band Adds More Nirvana And Foo Fighters To Library

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that the Rock Band library will soon be seeing more Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Joan Jett.

Nirvana’s contribution includes “About a Girl,” “Blew” and “School” via the Nirvana Bleach Pack. The Foo Fighters Pack 03 includes “Wheels,” “Word Forward,” “Best of You,” and “The Pretender.

To top off the list, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts’ “Fake Friends” from the album “Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth” will debut on both the Rock Band music store and the Lego Rock Band music store.

The above tracks will be available for the Xbox 360 and Wii on November 3, with the PlayStation 3 versions ready to download November 5. All tracks are original master recordings and you can find the price breakdown below.

Nirvana Bleach Pack: 440 Microsoft Points/$5.49, or 160 Microsoft Points/$1.99/ 200 Wii Points per track.

Foo Fighters Pack 03: 560 Microsoft Points/$6.99, or 160 Microsoft Points/$1.99/200 Wii Points per track.

Additionally, next week will see the release of two new tracks for Rock Band Unplugged –“Waking the Demon” by Bullet for my Valentine and “Toxicity” by System of a Down. Each track is available for $1.99.
