Resident Evil Zero Re-releases On Wii

by Ben Reeves on Oct 29, 2009 at 07:50 AM

Capcom announced today that they will be releasing Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero on December 1 for $29.99. Similar to the first Archives game that came out this summer, this is a repackaging of the 2002 GameCube release Resident Evil Zero.

Some will remember Resident Evil Zero as the prequel that provided back story to rookie S.T.A.R.S. member Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen, an ex-Marine convicted on circumstantial evidence for the murder of 23 people. The game fleshed out a lot of the events leading up to the infamous mansion incident and finally revealed the origins of the T-Virus.

Players control both Rebecca and Billy simultaneously using a partner swapping system to solve puzzles and fight zombies through some memorable locations from earlier in the series.

Zero was also the last entry in the series before Resident Evil 4 came along and changed everything, so this should be a good opportunity for fans of the classic Evils to go back and see how the series has changed.
