Part of Nintendo's never-ending crusade to invade the living room involves getting potential consumers' hands on the hardware. That's where the World of Nintendo Tour comes into play. The company brings the Wii, DS, DSi, and all the latest games straight to the consumer to best boast their wares.

This year's tour kicked off this past weekend at the Long Beach Comic Con in Long Beach, California. Lucky tour-goers got to lay their hands on Wii Fit Plus and New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii, as well as Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box and The  Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the DS and DSi. I'll be honest with you, if Nintendo showed up outside my house and asked me to play the newest Zelda game, I'd probably take them up on it.

The next stops on the company's media march are the VideoGame Expo  in Philadelphia (Oct. 9-11) and the Big Apple Comic Con in New York City (Oct. 16-18). With the Wii's price point having dropped $50 at the end of September, Nintendo's aggressive peddling of their merchandise couldn't come at a better time.
