The Raconteurs, Alanis Morissette, And Electric Six Make Rock Band Debut
Sure, getting a new group available to download on Rock Band every week is great...but it's even better when it's a supergroup. Next week, we'll be receiving just such a treat when Rock Band receives its first three tracks ever from The Raconteurs, a group consisting of Jack White (from the White Stripes), Jack Lawrence (from The Greenhornes and Blanche), Patrick Keeler (also from The Greenhornes), and Brendon Benson (a well-loved solo artist). Enough musical talent for you?
If The Raconteurs aren't your thing, there will be some other choices. Also making their Rock Band debut this week: '90s radio mainstay Alanis Morissette, alt hip-hop group The Flobots, and my personal favorite, eccentric dance rock band The Electric Six. Here's the full list of new tracks that will be available on Tuesday, October 6:

- "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette
- "Dance Epidemic" by Electric Six
- "Gay Bar" by Electric Six
- "I Don't Like You" by Electric Six
- "Handlebars" by The Flobots
- "Many Shades of Black" by The Raconteurs
- "Salute Your Solution" by The Raconteurs
- "Steady, As She Goes" by The Racontuers
These tracks will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii for $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points) per track. On the PS3 and 360, you'll also be able to purchase The Raconteurs tracks and Electric Six tracks in three-song track packs $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) each.
Perhaps you prefer taking your rock on the go? Rock Band: Unplugged owners will have two new tracks available for purchase on Thursday, October 8: "Know Your Enemy" by Green Day and "Red Barchetta" by Rush. Both tracks will cost $1.99.
Update: I've updated this post with a second page that includes YouTube videos of all of the new songs. Check them out if you'd like to listen before downloading! Also, beetlejuice correctly pointed out in the comments, that this is technically not Alanis Morissette's Rock Band debut, as she has a song on the disc. This is her DLC debut, though!
