There is something amazingly compelling about being evil. Gamers who tend to root for Darth Vader are probably eager to get their hands on a red lightsaber in BioWare’s upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic. In his blog, writer Neil Pollner recently shared some of his thoughts on shaping the Sith Warrior storyline.

It looks like players who listen to the call of the dark side will start out as a Sith Warrior apprentice. Throughout the story, players will be able to follow one of several paths to infamy. Those who obey their master faithfully will be justly rewarded, while those who seek redemption can try to undermine the Empire’s schemes from within.

We don’t know why anyone would choose either of those two options, however, since at some point you’ll also have the option to turn on your master and rule the galaxy with a single iron fist.

There still isn’t a lot of information out there about The Old Republic, but BioWare sure knows how to string us along.
