Assassins Creed II: Discover Headed to DS, Utilizes DSi Camera

by Jeff Marchiafava on Sep 24, 2009 at 05:42 AM

November 17th is going to come sooner than you think, and you’re going to find yourself attached to the couch playing Assassin’s Creed II on whatever console you buy it for. Eventually, however, you’re going to have to rise form your comfortable seat and use the restroom, or eat, or something. That’s where the recently announced Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery for the Nintendo DS will come in handy.

When you’re walking around your house or you – heaven forbid – leave the house, you’ll be able to play as the white-cowled killer 2D-style. You can even take a photo of yourself with the Nintendo DSi’s camera and plaster your mug onto in-game wanted posters. It’s great to see that developer Griptonite Games is willing to take big risks with the DSi’s camera.

The DS version of the game joins the iPhone version of AC2: Discovery in holding down the handheld hitman front. The game releases the same day as the console versions of Assassin’s Creed II, so charge your DS battery now.
