Thexder NEO Remake Coming to PSP
24 years have passed since the classic action-arcade game Thexder was released in Japan, but on October 1st Square Enix will be releasing a sparkling new remake for the PSP, entitled Thexder Neo.
Even if you’ve never heard of Thexder before, the fact that it’s a Japanese video game from the ‘80s tells you everything you need to know. Of course if you weren’t alive in the ‘80s, then the relevant nugget of information that you’re missing is that robots are way cool, and in Thexder you play as a laser-shooting robot. Who can transform into a jet. Enough said?
The game will sell for roughly ten dollars, and will presumably be download-only. More information on the new game is available on Square Enix’s website.
