The Coolest Pokémon Sun And Moon – Forbidden Light Cards We Pulled From Booster Packs

The newest expansion in the long-running Pokémon Trading Card Game released last week. Forbidden Light introduces the Ultra Beasts from Pokémon Sun & Moon, and adds well over 100 new cards.

We were sent several booster packs, as well as both decks to see what we could pull from the new expansion. The result was perhaps the biggest gallery of cards we've done to date. As I noted in a gallery for a previous expansion, it seems as though each expansion is emphasizing one generation of Pokémon over the others. Ultra Prism placed a keen focus on Gen 4 creatures, and Forbidden Light shines the spotlight on Gen 6. This means that in addition to the Gen 7 monsters you'd expect from the Sun and Moon series, you also get Gen 6 favorites like Greninja, Delphox, and the Kalos legendaries. Oh, and we're also graced by Alolan Exeggutor, so that's always a positive.
