Blog Herding – The Best Blogs Of The Community (October 12, 2017)

by Game Informer Editorial on Oct 12, 2017 at 11:14 AM

So, this last week was the lightest I've ever seen. I am guessing that like me you were all getting married and on your honeymoon! But even though we don't have many blogs this week, they're still very good, and you all should read them.

Community Blogs For October 5 – October 11:

Have You Heard Of... Multi Month Edition!
One month, one game. This is what McNutty891 provides in his blog this week. A lot of great games are featured, with a fresh perspective. Plus, any blog with Yakuza mentioned in it is fantastic. What a great series.

The SNES Classic's Greatest Flaw
Doctor Apozem wants to know the answer to the big question: Where the heck is Chrono Trigger on the SNES Classic? I'm sure it's a license thing, but this is what the doc wants to see. And you know what, this is a nice blog about the awesome RPG, and why it is missed.

Community Reviews:

Review – Persona 5
GerardoExber is back, and this time it is with a review of what has become one of his favorite series (as far as I can tell over the months of his blogging). His theme of the review hinges on the word "different." "With its graphics, it surprised me. With its soundtrack, it moved me. Its gameplay entertained me, but with its story, it stole my heart. 2017 sure has been a year filled with tremendous games, and I'm happy to have played one of them." Word, buddy.

Tales of Berseria
Last but not least, we have Zack Burrows writing about how awesome this game is, and he couldn't be more right. The series was already so good, but this iteration is the best in years. Sure, a tragedy hits the main character's village just like every other hero's village in a JRPG, but if you give it some time, Zack promises you'll find, "a highly memorable game that's among one of 2017's greatest."

Writing Challenge:

Nothing this week.
