Pokémon Go was as popular with bloggers as it was everyone else this week, while others remembered a man from Nintendo who did some wonderful things for the company.

fun angle on the game's popularity, writing about how it works in a small town
(I began playing the game in my hometown of 120 people, so I get it), and I implore
you all to read it.

totally shocked by how the latest Poké craze took control of people. His blog

Thomas Loughney makes something very clear right away: The newest game
featuring Pikachu and company is not a game, but a social app. And one that
barely works, which has been my experience so far.

GerardoExber met his significant other through video games, which is probably
pretty typical for people on this site. However, what is atypical is that his
special someone doesn't actually play games. Like, ever. This is a sweet read,
capped by a poem, so eat it up like Kirby-san.

Legacy of Satoru Iwata
Death is terrible, and Thomas Loughney knows this, but he wants to make sure
you know about what Nintendo's Satoru Iwata had accomplished while he was alive. Simply
put, Nintendo's main man was Super Mario, Kirby, and Samus all wrapped in one
kick-ass person.
Remembering
Satoru Iwata
Iwata's legacy is remembered in yet another blog from GerardoExber. He writes
another poem, of course, but also gives us plenty of words that force us to
ponder what this man gave us, and what he could have still given us. But like
our blogger writes, Iwata already did more than most in the gaming world. We
should all be thankful for that.

Community Writing Challenge: Pokémon Snap Go
Haley writes about a game that totally deserves the treatment Pokémon Go has received,
and I agree with her completely. A new Pokémon Snap would sell a lot of units...but
I am unsure about it happening now that Go has taken the world by storm. But
how fun was it to take snapshots of Pokémon?
Series That Should Get the Pokémon Go Treatment
Refle hits all the right notes in this blog, especially when it comes to
Resident Evil needing a game like Go. His other choices may surprise you, but
they will definitely provide some food for thought when it comes to new,
creative ideas.
Community Writing Challenge:
Share some more Pokémon Go experiences with me. We had a host of blogs on the game this week, but tell me how you found a starter Pokémon while in the restroom of an Iowa Subway (that happened to me), or how you'd love the game if it would only work for more than five minutes before the server crashes into the planet like the fiery meteor from Final Fantasy VII.
