Why Infinite Warfare’s Space Battles Are More Grounded Than You Think

Military accuracy is usually much more challenging for a design team than it might seem, especially when your game is set on a futuristic space-faring vessel.

But as we found out during our time at Infinity Ward, what appeared to be straight forward sci-fi was actually an intricate balance of NASA technology and Navy customs. Aside from spending time aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier, the team behind Infinite Warfare had Navy SEALs, admirals, and the department of defense as military consultants.
