Replay – Monster Hunter

by Kyle Hilliard on Jun 10, 2016 at 03:00 PM

The first Monster Hunter (and its follow-ups) were huge hits in Japan, but it landed with a thud in Game Informer's office when it released in 2004. Our lukewarm feelings, however, were not universal. In fact, we found someone in our office who has a full on obsession with the original and the franchise in general, and brought her on Replay to tell us why she loves the series so much.

This week Andrew Reiner, Joe Joe Juba, and myself are joined by Game Informer senior graphic designer and Monster Hunter superfan Laleh Tobin. Laleh shows us the ropes, explains why the game hooked her when it released, and shows off her save file on which she has poured literally hundreds of hours.

For part two we do one of our favorite things, which is to grab a Super Nintendo game none of us have ever heard of, and hope for the best.
