Test Chamber - How 'Dark Souls' Is Team Ninja's Nioh?
Team Ninja's dark action fantasy RPG Nioh shares plenty of DNA with another famous, often-used-in-comparison series, Dark Souls. Join Kyle Hilliard, Daniel Tack, and Jeff Cork as they experiment with the game's demo (available on PS4 until May 5th).
While there are many allusions to be made to Dark Souls, even in just a few minutes we find some big differences, like what appears to be a Diablo-esque loot system, big penalties for running out of "stamina" that leave you vulnerable, battling other fallen warriors by clicking on their graves, and much much more. This is shaping up to be a real challenging take on the classic melee-centric meticulous combat action RPG, and we can't wait to see more.
