by Wade Wojcik on Jan 07, 2016 at 08:00 AM

Going in to our gameplay session with Doom at Id Software I had one burning question. How would this series feel after a decade of shooter genre evolution? When Doom 3 released in 2004 Gears of War hadn't yet come out and Call of Duty was new on the scene.

We'll be examining this game in detail over our month of coverage, but as a primer Andrew Reiner and Matthew Bertz sat down to discuss their initial impressions, what they want out of Doom, what they didn't expect, and more!

Return to our hub throughout the month for more information on the single-player campaign, arena multiplayer, and the SnapMap creation engine. You can access the hub by clicking on the banner below.
