by Game Informer Editorial on Sep 03, 2015 at 06:00 AM

This week the community shares a lot about its eating habits, reviews current hit Until Dawn, and writes about Metal Gear Solid. It's a good week full of good blogs, so get reading!

Community Blogs For August 27 – September 2:

Guess That Game (September 2015)...
It's time for another guessing game! Subtle hints make this week's entry a fun, challenging one.

Top 10 MGS fights
To celebrate the latest Metal Gear Solid release, locopenguin99 chose 10 Metal Gear Solid fights to write about. For loco, these are the best of the best, but really, all of them have something to make them special.

Community Reviews:

Until Dawn Review
John Wrek reviews one of the popular games to recently come out, giving it high marks, but hopes you like "tripping and being cleaved in half by a tottering psychopath." Sure, why not.

Until Dawn Critique
General Mills44 gives us another look at Until Dawn, calling it a contender for 2015's game of the year.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Review: Get Your Tomb On
While I don't like Osiris as much as the first isometric Tomb Raider adventure on last-gen consoles, I agree with lovemeorshootme that it's still a fun time – especially when played cooperatively.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 Review: We Fight Together
Enuo gives the latest One Piece game high marks. Just make sure you like the show and Dynasty Warriors. If not, there probably isn't much for you here. Now I feel like catching up on the Japanese manga...

Writing Challenge Responses:

Community Writing Challenge: My Gaming-Food Mix
First off, thanks for the kind words about the writing challenges, GerardoExber. Secondly, the blogger highlights food he can grab easily and quickly to recharge, but even eats an interesting mix of cookies with milk, coffee, and Nutella. Now that's gaming fuel.

Community Writing Challenge: My Go To Snack
AlexBizzar tries not to eat while gaming so he doesn't get dastardly crumbs into buttons (or bite his lip when trying to multitask). Instead, he looks to healthy drinks – even sharing his recipes with the community. I'll be trying that chocolate smoothie next time I play some FIFA.

Community Writing Challenge: Gaming Food
Rebekah Lang also takes the beverage approach while gaming. That's why she always has unsweetened tea on standby, as well as hot tea. I'm a coffee and Code Red Mountain Dew kind of person, but tea is a great choice.

Community Writing Challenge: Awwwww Snack!!!
Marco Polo breaks down his snacking into two varieties: healthy and unhealthy. Many of you do your best to eat healthy snacks when gaming, since gaming isn't exactly the most taxing activity. But who doesn't like some Twizzlers every so often?

Community Writing Challenge:

The holiday game rush has essentially begun. With that in mind, what do you think of the slew of games that appear in the fall? Is it too much? Does one year of releases trump the rest? Would you rather see certain games release in the summer or spring?

Community Playdate:

No playdate this weekend. So recharge and get some practice in for next time!
