My Top 30 Favorite Video Game Protagonists (#20-11)

GIO Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U Tournament Round 2 Results + Round 3 Details

My top 5 Nintendo 64 games

Book Report: 8-Bit Christmas
Rebekah takes time out of her gaming to give us another book review, this time about one that soars through the gaming landscape of the late '80s. She compares the book to her childhood and gives us some insight into what gaming was like for her so long ago.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Initial Impressions
Kyle Wadsworth is currently playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – and he loves it. Now, there are some issues he picks on, but overall the experience contains the grandeur and excitement he counted on when he first saw it in 2013.

Writing Challenge Responses:

Community Writing Challenge: An Ode To My Loyal Destiny Ghost
Rebekah Lang writes a nice little ode to something very special to her: Destiny's Ghost companion. From how mysterious it is to how it's always there for her, the flying gadget is a truly loyal friend.

Loyal to the Death: Commander Shepard
Adam H writes about Mass Effect for this week's challenge. However, instead of writing about the many loyal characters who fight alongside, or even fall in love with, Commander Shepard, he blogs about how loyal the main character is.

Community Writing Challenge: Loyalty
Uesugi-dono writes about more than one game containing loyal friends – and all of them are perfect examples loyalty and honor. And much respect for the work put into for a particular Suikoden friend to return!

Community Writing Challenge:

Not everyone likes gaming. We all have friends or family members who don't really care for it, and that's okay. What I want to know is what game or games you introduce to those who don't normally play? I introduced my girlfriend to gaming via Cat Toad in Super Mario 3D World, and now I have her playing Disney Infinity (she loves Captain Jack). What games do you play with newcomers?

I hope you enjoy the blogs! Please contact me via my Game Informer page or on Twitter at @LouisGarcia12 with any blog news or playdate suggestions.
