Red Hook Studios has a new gothic, roguelike, dungeon crawler heading to Early Access on February 3 – Darkest Dungeon. This party-based, traditional dungeon crawl comes with many of the concepts of the roguelike, including permadeath and procedurally generated dungeons, with a striking visual art style that does an excellent job of conveying the dark depths of the crypts and corridors that you'll be exploring.

On top of having to manage equipment, skills, supplies, positioning, and hit points, party members must endure stress as they experience the horrors of each encounter. The death of a party member, a critical strike, or special attacks designed to inflict mental anguish all take their toll, and when the stress bar fills up, your characters may becoming uncontrollable – or worse. The game also tasks players with managing dungeon lighting through the use of torches – run out, and expect to have a much more difficult time (though you may discover even greater rewards!)

Darkest Dungeon comes to Steam Early Access on February 3. I've been playing a ton of this game and think it's really special; if you like dungeon crawls or roguelikes I would highly recommend you give it a try.
