Our Readers' Top Five Most Anticipated Games Of 2015

by Kimberley Wallace on Jan 09, 2015 at 08:45 AM

Earlier this week, we ran a reader discussion asking our readers what game they are most anticipating. Readers had tons of games on their mind, and many had trouble just picking one. We've tallied the results, and it was a close one. Plenty of games such as No Man's Sky, The Division, and Star Wars: Battlefront just missed the cut. Without further ado, here are the top five picks and some of the responses.

5. The Legend of Zelda Wii U

4. Batman: Arkham Knight

3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

1. Bloodborne

We're not done yet! Here are some of your responses regarding a slew of different games:

Persona 5 is my top pick. I am a huge fan of the series and the main reason it's my top pick is that it has been 7 years since the last main entry in the series and while all the fighting games, spinoffs, and updated port were amazing it's time for a fresh new entry to lead us into a new environment. The game is a personal symbolism of letting go as the years I've enjoyed with Persona 4s cast have been really enjoyable, but it's time for a new cast, story, and environment to explore. My other picks would be Mortal Kombat X, Batman: Arkham Knight, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Timespinners. — Juan Murillo

"At the moment" I'm feeling nostalgic for Metal Gear Solid 4's multiplayer, so right now I'm most excited for The Phantom Pain. In a few days though it may be Bloodborne or No Man's Sky predator979

Arkham Knight most definitely. No other franchise has made me feel more happy with video games. I've played all of them from Asylum to Origins (Even though Origins was made by a different developer). This franchise has given me the best video game memories as well as personal memories. Arkham Knight looks like it's going to end in a huge bang so hopefully it lives up to the hype. This is probably the last major title I play before I go to college so creating another set of Arkham memories before I engage in endless studying is more than welcome. — derrick vigo

It used to be Batman: Arkham Knight but after playing the Halo beta I gotta go with Halo 5: Guardians. I'm just so excited that we're finally getting another good Halo game, it's been too long (like 8 years long). Haven't felt like this since Halo 3.  — FullySkully

Toss up. One game, pick one game? I thought about this long and hard with the mentality of all of the upcoming games I want just sitting on a shelf in front of me and I could only buy one which would it be??? Uncharted 4, I love the various settings, exploration, puzzles, and climbing aspects. Campaigns are generally pretty long too so you get your money's worth. — skrilla99

The Witcher 3. There aren't really any big fantansy games other than Dragon Age on the new-gen platforms, and I feel I will enjoy the Witcher's combat and storytelling much more. I'm kind of burnt out on shooters and multiplayer focused games, so The Witcher 3 seems like the perfect game for me this year. — Joshin2

I'm gonna say Tom Clancy's The Division. I'm really interested to see if the tablet part of the experience is as seamless as it was shown to be in the demos and trailers.  Spartan186
