How To Find The Treasures Of Draenor

by Daniel Tack on Nov 20, 2014 at 04:50 AM

One of the new systems at play in World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor is the zones have hundreds of hidden, collectible treasures stashed away. You’re likely to stumble around a few randomly via traditional leveling and zone exploration, but you’re probably going to want to go back and collect as many as you can for garrison resources even at level 100.

It’s actually better to pick them up as you level using an add-on like HandyNotes with Draenor Treasures because you’ll also be picking up quite a bit of experience by looting them. If you want to be a purist, however, or not mess with add-ons, Blizzard has a method to collect them all in the game that’s not really obvious.

In your main Draenor faction city you’ll find a merchant selling treasure maps at the reasonable price of 100 gold each, these will mark all treasures on the associated zone on your map when used. The catch is, you’ll have to have completed the majority of quests in the zone in order to purchase the map. You can check out the Horde vendor here and the Alliance vendor here.

At level 100 you may find yourself garrison resource-starved, especially after making the big upgrade to your tier three base of operations, and hunting down these treasures can make a big difference if you want to get some essential buildings upgraded or some missions cooking. The gear, especially in Nagrand, can roll higher than dungeon loot with random upgrades so it might be a great way to gear up in order to be eligible for heroic dungeons as well.
