It’s Friday, which means it’s time once again to round up some of the mobile games being released this week. A realistic boxing game, Tetris in reverse, and something from Google which changes the real world into a video game, are just a few examples of what can be found on mobile devices this week.
Real Boxing

As the title indicates, Real Boxing focuses on bringing a more realistic boxing experience to mobile devices. The game features a V-Motion control system which allows players to control their boxer using motions with their fists. A traditional tap and swipe control scheme is available as well. Real Boxing has online multiplayer and various unlockables, and Vivid Games plans to add even more content in subsequent updates.
To the City of the Clouds

To the City of the Clouds is a text-based adventure game that allows players to choose their own path in the story. Players take the role of an archaeologist searching for La Ciudad de las Nubes somewhere in the mountains of Colombia. Throughout the adventure your character encounters tropical diseases, deadly vipers, a guerrilla army, and Incan spirits. This could be a good choice for gamers looking to flex their imagination.
Wreck-It-Ralph

Based on the animated film sharing the same name, Wreck-It-Ralph allows players to compete for high scores against their friends and against the world in three different game types. Fix-it Felix Jr. is an 8-bit style game which has Felix fixing the destruction caused by Ralph; Hero’s Duty has players annihilating cy-bugs using various weapons; and Sweet Climber challenges players with climbing candy stalks for as long as they can. The game was released on iOS devices a couple weeks ago, but just made it to Android this week.
Dream of Pixels

Dream of Pixels is like playing Tetris in reverse. The game tasks players with unpacking tetromino blocks as opposed to packing them. If players can’t clear lines from the grid fast enough it’s game over. The game boasts attractive visuals, five different modes, music to match the gameplay experience, and Game Center challenges to send your friends.
Ingress

Ingress aims to transform the real-world landscape into a game of mystery, intrigue, and competition. The objective of the game is to find sources of a mysterious new energy, and control it. Players can choose to side with one of two factions, The Enlightened, who look to embrace the energy’s power, and The Resistance, who want to protect what remains of our humanity. Players use their Android device to discover and tap new sources of energy and create alliances with other players of the same faction. The game is currently available only as a closed beta, but anyone interested can request an invite here.
