by Josh Straub on Aug 03, 2012 at 07:00 AM

This week we've got aliens, zombies, and several types of aircraft, not to mention the largest update to one of mobile's most popular titles.

Commando Jack
Developer: Chillingo
Platforms: iOS and Android

Commando Jack blends tower defense and first-person shooting with charming graphics. When the hordes of aliens become overwhelming and simply placing towers is not enough, hop in your turret and mow them down in first person.

Blazing Star
Developer: SNK Playmore
Platforms: iOS and Andriod
Price: $4.19

The classic Neo Geo sidescrolling shoot-em-up has been ported seamlessly onto mobile devices. In addition to hosting all the features of the classic Blazing Star, this version has several new features, including mission mode and multiplayer via bluetooth.

Gears and Guts
Developer: Glu Games
Platforms: iOS and Android
Price: Free!

Gears and Guts lets you take on the zombie apocalypse with your car and as much fire power as you can bolt to it. The game features dozens of vehicles, collectible weapons, including experimental technology, and multiple enemy types to keep you on your toes as you "put some blood on the highway."

Sky Gamblers: Air Supremacy
Developer: REVO Solutions s.r.l.
Platform: iOS
Price: $4.99

This high speed flier features an extensive campaign mode and several multiplayer modes. The game was designed for players of all skill levels, even allowing you to leave the flying to the computer while you focus on downing tangos. To top everything off, the game features near console-quality graphics.

Infinity Blade II Content Pack 3: Skycages
Developer: Chair Entertainment
Platforms: iOS and Android
Price: $2.99

This is the largest expansion for Infinity Blade II yet. It features 30 new items and a brand new weapon type, which harnesses the power of the sun. New enemies have been added, including the Headsman, Petrified Noc, Xyloto, and Ryth. Exclusive new ClashMob challenges are also a part of the update.
