The Making Of A Game Infarcer Cover

by Joe Juba on Mar 06, 2012 at 04:45 AM

Instead of publishing a bunch of fake news stories online on April 1, Game Informer's April Fools' Day tradition is the Game Infarcer humor piece in our magazine. It's five pages of falsehoods, all under the direction of a fictional editor-in-chief. Even though it's a pretend magazine, we still take Game Infarcer's cover seriously, and you can see the process by which artist Zander Cannon created this year's masterpiece.

Cannon (of Big Time Attic) is the talent behind all of our recent Game Infarcer covers, and we continue to be impressed with his uncanny ability to create great compositions while still cramming in plenty of visual gags. How does he do it? You can see for yourself right here, where Cannon chronicles the artistic process from beginning to end.

You can see a sample of the full image below, but for the complete effect, you'll have to pick up our April issue!
